Admissions: Home

Although Northwest has an “open door” admissions policy, there are procedures all students must follow in order to receive a Letter of Admission. The following must be on file in the Office of Admissions and Records before registration:

  • A completed admissions application
  • An official copy of ACT or SAT scores (ACT required for Mississippi residents)
  • An official copy of a transcript from an accredited high school that includes a graduation date; OR an official copy of GED scores; OR an official copy of college or military transcript(s) from all colleges attended
    • Official electronic high school or college transcripts may be sent via E-Scrip, Parchment, Scribbles, or National Student Clearinghouse

Safety Statement
The safety and security of students, faculty, and staff is very important to Northwest Mississippi Community College. A copy of the Annual Security Report, published annually by the Campus Police Department, details Northwest policies and procedures regarding campus safety. A copy of the report, which contains the annual crime statistics report, is available online in the current Northwest Bulletin (www.northwestms.edu/bulletin) or on the Northwest website (http://www.northwestms.edu/index.php/?page_id=989) and in printed form upon request from the Campus Police Office (662-562-3314). The Annual Security Report is published in compliance with all applicable federal laws regarding campus safety and security.
